Introducing…Paolozzi
This was the week our first beer got out into the big wide world. (Edinburgh and Glasgow, specifically.)
Meet Paolozzi.
A 5.2% Munich style lager created with Edinburgh flair and Italian technology, it’s clean, sparkling and perfectly balanced, with a superb head and malty aroma. We named it after a hero of ours, the Edinburgh-born inventor of Pop Art, Eduardo Paolozzi. That’s his artwork ‘Illumination and the Eye’ on the bottle, and we pay a charitable donation to the Paolozzi Foundation for every pint and bottle we sell.
Paolozzi believed in the power of combining art and science, old and new, to create something extraordinary. He called it the “sublime in the everyday”. ‘Just’ a lager? This is something pretty special.
Now it’s bottled and kegged, the EBF dray has been busy delivering to bars, shops and restaurants – as well as transforming itself into its alter ego mobile bar.
You’ll now find bottles of Paolozzi in the following Edinburgh bars, shops and restaurants:

This is a joint venture between the SLR and New International, they currently stock a wide range of Craft Beers and sell between 80-100 bottles per week.
Thanks Mike. I’ll give them a call in the morning.
Fantastic lager.. one of the best I’ve ever had. Pity it’s not in Ireland.
Thanks very much! Hope to get it to Ireland at some point
I’m a huge fan of premium lagers and normally drink Stella and Moretti, I’m at the Novotel just down the road from the brewery enjoying my 2nd pint of Paolozzi. It’s superb, right up there with the best, ( though should be at £5.90 a pint ! )
Hope I can find it down south when we return to Bath.
Just enjoyed two at the refinery in St. Andrews square went down a treat!
Do any stores/supermarkets sell it?
Hi Julianna,
We’re not in any supermarkets, but you can buy bottles to take away from a number of independent bottle shops and wine shops. Where do you live? Will let you know the nearest stockist.
Thanks
Kirsty
Where can I buy Paolozzi locally? I live in Carluke South Lanarkshire and have just ordered a gift pack online for my husband. We were in Brewhemia Edinburgh last night and he instantly fell in love with it. Think he’ll love me for life now!
Hi Leona,
So pleased you enjoyed it so much at Brewhemia! I think the nearest places to buy bottles would be the Wee Beer Shop in Glasgow’s Southside http://weebeershop.co.uk/ (623 Pollokshaws Road) and David Stein Butchers in Bathgate (37 North Bridge Street). And we’ve free delivery online for any orders over £30 if you want to stock up!
Thanks

Where can you get it on tap in Glasgow ?
Hi Fraser,

Thanks
