Art and libations from local innovators,
set among the historic Waverley Arches.
We’ve put together a first class line-up of the city’s freshest creative talent from the worlds of food, drink and art to create a pop-up beer garden, archway art gallery and cocktail bar at Waverley Arches this August. Kicking off on 8th August and running through to the end of the Festival period on 28th, this will be an authentic taste of the city in a unique, central location on East Market Street.
The four arches and courtyard on the junction of East Market Street and Cranston Street will host food offerings from Leith’s streetfood hotshots, the Pitt, artisanal spirits shaken up by the Cocktail Kitchen, wine from Stockbridge’s Smith & Gertrude, all washed down with fresh, unpasteurised Paolozzi lager.
Besides pouring plenty of Paolozzi lager and our new BUNK! range, we’re paying homage to Eduardo’s many interests and influences and his philosophy of re-making and re-presenting neglected objects and spaces. Art collectives place+platform and poor art* will be displaying their Paolozzi-inspired ‘Poor Form’ exhibition in one of the arches, while live music and DJs provide a playful backdrop to drinking and dining.
